Phoebe has been
a licensed massage therapist in Texas since 2004, and a Certified Medical
Massage therapist since 2006. She has
completed oncology massage training with renown educator, author Gayle
MacDonald and researcher, writer, educator Tracy Walton. Phoebe also has certification in Pediatric
Massage, allowing her to treat ages 2 and up.
Additional education includes manual lymphatic drainage, myofascial
release, orthopedic massage, neuro-muscular therapy and various other modalities.
previous work experience both in the dental and medical fields gives her numerous hands-on and hands-off experiences into main stream medical care. However, a more holistic approach seemed what she
was born to do, seeking to affect individuals looking for more natural approaches
to involve in their health care. In February 2016, Phoebe’s journey with cancer hit home as
her own husband was diagnosed with stage IV Colorectal cancer. The role as not only a health care provider but also a caregiver for him, provides the challenging experiences and insights that are no doubt invaluable
to her cancer and chronic pain patients.
She believes that people should not
be defined by their diagnosis and strives to bring a sense of health and
comfort back into the lives of patients AND their caregivers. The journey towards better health does not have to be done alone!
Often you can find
Phoebe reading and researching holistic and nutritional practices, while
continuing to seek out education that will further enhance the outcome
of her clients. When
not in her massage realm, she enjoys spending time with her two
loving boys and husband, feng-shuing her spaces and running.
